Teaser
Here is the new teaser of the film! Check it out! :)
This reticulated python is one of the largest specimens I have ever seen. Luckily, I didn't just get to see it; I also got to experience firsthand the incredible power it possesses. This experience will help me better articulate my thoughts about these creatures in the film!
Last week, I interviewed Rai, the 'King of Cobras.' Of course, we talked about his favorite animals—the cobras—and the many other rescued species that call his sanctuary home."
After filming wraps, the core essence becomes much clearer. Of course, the birth of a documentary always involves twists and turns, and the road to the final cut is never a straight line. However, simply defining the main message is often enough to keep you on course, ensuring that post-production reaches the finish line sooner or later.
Designing the poster is like stripping away the layers of the film’s message and telling the whole story in a single image. When someone looks at it, they should immediately feel what to expect from this narrative. I believe this scene is what best encapsulates the film's core triangle: the snake, the human, and the mission.
Halfway through filming, I took a step back to see how the film's narrative arc is shaping up. This is a crucial part of the creative process; if neglected, the core message can easily lose its way. It is always worth pausing for a moment to see if everything is progressing as planned—or perhaps even better—and if not, to identify what needs to change.
To do this, I usually select stills from various scenes and arrange them side-by-side to visualize the sequence. This helps me determine which scenes are currently the strongest and which ones need more supporting footage to truly land.
A little teaser from the upcoming documentary: Snakes of Paradise."
