According to legend, when Buddha sat down to meditate, seven cobras rose above him, intertwining their hoods to shield him from the rain and the sun. In the film, we also want to reflect on the place snakes hold in history and religion. This is why I traveled to North Bali to a Buddhist monastery—to capture this wonderful work of art.
